What makes a steel door truly secure?

A door is only as secure as its weakest part. A beautiful leaf on a thin frame with a single-point lock is an open invitation — real security is a system, engineered together from the frame outward.
At Divi we treat every door as a whole: the sheet, the frame profile, the reinforcement, the locking mechanism and the cylinder are all specified as one. Below are the parts that actually decide whether a door keeps a home safe.
1. The sheet and the frame
It starts with the steel. We form our doors from 100% galvanized sheet, so corrosion never gets a foothold and the structure stays true for decades. Just as important is the frame: a box-profile steel frame anchored properly into the wall resists spreading and prying far better than a folded-plate frame.
2. Locking points
A single deadbolt concentrates all the force on one spot. A multi-point lock spreads it across the whole height of the door, engaging the frame at several places at once:
- Five active locking points as standard on our entrance doors
- Hardened steel hinge-side pins that hold even if the hinges are attacked
- An anti-drill, anti-bump cylinder protected by a security escutcheon
Security you can see is reassuring. Security you can't see — inside the frame and the leaf — is what actually stops a break-in.
3. The cylinder
The cylinder is the part most often attacked, and the easiest to upgrade. We fit anti-drill and anti-bump cylinders as standard and offer higher-grade options for projects that need them. Paired with a security escutcheon, the cylinder is shielded from pulling and snapping.
Built as a system
None of these parts works alone. A great cylinder in a weak frame, or a strong frame with a basic lock, leaves a gap. Because we design and build every door in-house, we can tune the whole system to the risk — and to the look — of each project.
